Sixhand

User Agreement

Updated July 6, 2026

Sixhand ("Sixhand," "we," "us," or "our") operates a platform that helps people discover jobs, projects, and services through the people they already know and trust, and the people those people know. This User Agreement ("Agreement") governs your access to and use of Sixhand's website, apps, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to this Agreement.

1. What Sixhand is — and isn't

Sixhand is an introduction and networking platform. We are not an employer, staffing agency, recruiter, contractor, marketplace escrow, or party to any job, project, service, or transaction that takes place between users.

  • Any listing — a job, a project, a request for a service such as design work, bookkeeping, tutoring, or anything else — is created and owned entirely by the user who posted it, whether that user is an individual or represents a company.
  • Sixhand does not vet, verify, endorse, guarantee, or take responsibility for the accuracy of any listing, profile, connection, or “vouch” shown on the Service.
  • A displayed connection or trust path (e.g. “via Jade → John”) reflects relationships users have told us about, or introductions users have made. It is not a background check, reference check, or endorsement by Sixhand.
  • We do not participate in, broker, or take a cut of any hiring decision, payment, contract, or agreement between users. Any such arrangement is solely between the users involved.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials confidential, and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

3. Your responsibility when using the Service

Because Sixhand connects you with people through your network rather than through a vetted, centralized marketplace, you are solely responsible for exercising your own judgment before entering into any conversation, introduction, job, project, service arrangement, payment, or in-person meeting with anyone you meet through the Service. This includes:

  • Independently verifying the identity, qualifications, licensing, and trustworthiness of anyone you engage with, regardless of how many mutual connections or “handshakes” separate you.
  • Negotiating and documenting your own terms for any job, project, or service — Sixhand provides no contracts, invoicing, escrow, or payment processing.
  • Taking reasonable precautions for your own safety, including for any in-person services arranged through the Service.
  • Complying with all laws that apply to you, including tax, labor, and licensing laws relevant to any work or service you offer or receive.

4. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

  • Misrepresent a relationship, connection, or endorsement you don't actually have (e.g. “vouching” for someone you've never worked with).
  • Post fraudulent, illegal, or misleading listings, profiles, or messages.
  • Harass, discriminate against, or threaten other users.
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service.
  • Circumvent the trust-path system (e.g. by mass-adding strangers as “trusted contacts”) to gain unearned reach.
  • Use the Service for anything unlawful, or that infringes another person's rights.

5. Content you post

You retain ownership of the profile information, listings, messages, and files (résumés, portfolios, and similar) you post. By posting content, you grant Sixhand a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display that content to other users as necessary to operate the Service, consistent with your privacy settings and our Privacy Policy.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that you will find a job, project, client, or specialist through the Service, or that any user you connect with will be honest, qualified, safe, or reliable. We are not responsible for the conduct, whether online or offline, of any user.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sixhand and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, opportunity, or goodwill, arising from or related to:

  • Any interaction, agreement, dispute, non-payment, or transaction between users, including any job, project, or service arranged through the Service.
  • Any user turning out to be dishonest, unqualified, unsafe, or otherwise not acting in good faith.
  • Any loss or damage resulting from an introduction, connection, or vouch made through the Service.
  • Errors, interruptions, or unavailability of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of this Agreement will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Sixhand harmless from any claim, demand, or damages arising out of your use of the Service, your content, your violation of this Agreement, or your dealings with any other user.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you've violated this Agreement or the Community Guidelines, or to protect the safety of other users.

10. Changes to this Agreement

We may update this Agreement from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll let you know before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Agreement.
