Community Guidelines
Sixhand only works if the trust it's built on is real. These guidelines exist to keep that trust meaningful — for the person looking for their next role, the person hiring a designer for a logo, and everyone in between.
1. Only vouch for people you actually know
A connection, relationship note, or “vouch” on Sixhand should reflect something real — you worked together, you hired them, you're a family friend, and so on. Don't add strangers as trusted contacts, and don't vouch for someone's skills or character unless you'd genuinely say the same thing to their face.
2. Be honest in your listings and profile
- Describe the job, project, or service you're offering or requesting accurately.
- Don't misrepresent your skills, experience, or identity.
- If you're posting on behalf of a company, say so — don't pretend a company listing is a personal one, or vice versa.
3. Respect people's trust settings
People choose how they want to be reachable — some allow direct introductions, others prefer to be asked first. Respect those choices, and don't pressure someone to introduce you if they've declined.
4. No harassment, discrimination, or spam
- Treat everyone you interact with — whether you're introduced, applying, or hiring — with respect.
- Don't discriminate in hiring or service decisions based on race, gender, religion, disability, age, or other protected characteristics.
- Don't send unsolicited bulk messages or repeatedly contact someone who's asked you to stop.
5. No illegal or unsafe listings
Don't post listings for illegal services, or anything that puts another person's safety at risk. Use good judgment for any service arranged in person — Sixhand doesn't vet listings or the people behind them.
6. Reporting a problem
If someone violates these guidelines, let us know via the Send Feedback page with as much detail as you can. We review reports and may warn, suspend, or permanently remove accounts that violate these guidelines.
7. How this relates to our other policies
These guidelines work alongside our User Agreement, which explains that Sixhand facilitates introductions but is not a party to, and takes no responsibility for, any job, project, or service arrangement between users.
